Join Claire Nolan for screenings of her feature films, trailers, and artist documentaries, with an exclusive Q&A hosted by Jen Harvie. The festival will introduce Claire and her films, and provide the opportunity for audience members to ask questions and discuss Nolan's work in person in a casual and friendly atmosphere. Selected screenings include collaborations with performance artists such as: Sh!t Threatre, Split Britches, Foxy and Husk, Rosana Cade, Lucy Hutson, the Famous Lauren Barri Holstein, Vijay Patel, Hannah Maxwell, and Stacy Makishi.

Claire Nolan is an art and documentary filmmaker. Over the last decade she has produced bespoke trailers, promotional videos, creative documentation and short films. She has also created video content for use within live shows and installations that have been premiered nationally and internationally. Her only IMDB credit is for editing a short fiction film about a Maltese lesbian vampire. She doesn’t even speak Maltese! She also can’t seem to work out how to log in to IMDB to claim the credit... Presently, Claire is in the early stages of producing a feature documentary about the legendary performance artists Split Britches.

Jen Harvie is a Professor of Contemporary Theatre and Performance at QMUL. Her research focuses on how artists create their work in current, neoliberal contexts of production. In collaboration with artists, she has produced the books: Scottee: I Made it and The Only Way Home is Through the Snow: Performance Work of Lois Weaver. She also runs her own podcast called Stage Left (https://soundcloud.com/stage_left) where she engages performers in stimulating discussions.

From 7pm: On site, Arts One, QM campus
